December words

So along with doing the December Daily album that Ali Edwards does (http://www.aliedwards.com/) Dee is posting a new word for each day in December. I, of course, have yet to do anything with those words, so I thought I might try keeping track of them here starting today.
The word for December 8th is "friends".  Friends are great to have. Although I don't have very many, I do have 3 close friends that I know I could call if I needed anything! Alot of my family I consider "friends" too-like 2 of my sister-in-laws. And I don't know what I would do without all my online scrappy friends. It is amazing how much they mean to you and you don't see them very much at all! The ladies at the Nook are the best scrappy friends a girl could ever have! No tags again today!

Well, I didn't get to the Tim Tag today either. I totally had intended to, but I had some marking that HAD to be done, so I did that tonight.  I didn't have time after school because I was too busy checking things out on line. After dinner, the girls and I went out and got some milk, I gassed up the car and then we went and got a candy cane hot chocolate from Tim Hortons. Never had one of those, it was pretty good! We also bought a donut! Yum! Came home and took some photos of the girls and their hot chocolate for my December Daily. I have been really good at taking photos, but I haven't printed any yet for the actual album. I'm hoping to do some this weekend!
Received another order in the mail of Christmas presents today. Whoo hoo! Just need my brother to get a couple of things for me and I will be done except for stocking stuffers. Hopefully I will find out tomorrow if my brother can help me out.
Dh is out of town tomorrow, so Caitlin is going to cook macaroni & cheese for dinner and my dad is coming up for dinner. And that is about it! I'm off to bed!

Tuesday!

So I haven't posted for a couple of days, but I also haven't done any more Tim Tags! I was busy on Sunday doing, I don't know what and then we were at the in-laws for dinner. Monday was busy with Jenn and soccer so I didn't get to that tag either.  It isn't looking good for tonight either because Caitlin has soccer at 7:30 and I have some marking to do for the online course I'm teaching. But I wanted to check in and post something! In fact, I am in such a BETTER mood than last week! My MH Day on Friday was very refreshing and helpful! Now if I can just finish up with the Christmas shopping, I will be good! One package arrived today and now I only have 1 more to wait for and that will mean a few more things to get!

On a ROLL!

So it is Day 3 for Tim's tags and I did use the basic idea of his tag. I didn't emboss like he did. I used different fonts from the computer and then printed out my words on a piece of paper (intended it to be cardstock, but there was a slight problem) and then did some inking, some spritzing, some distressing and some more inking. Didn't have any bells, so just used one of the new ribbons I purchased at Michael's the other day. (I bought 7 rolls of various trims and ribbons and I definitely need to use them!) So this is how my tag turned out. Not as much texture as Tim's, but it looks not bad. What do you think?                       So all of this was done late tonight. I did head to the Nook this morning and picked up my seasonal inks AND my Tim Holtz bag--oooo I love it! I think it will be perfect for me to use to take some scrapping stuff and my art journal when we go to Florida in December. And of course I picked up a couple of other things too! Because they were on sale! Unfortunately lots of the ladies couldn't make the crop today, but I did see Janice & Tara & Tara's Mom so I chatted a bit with Janice before I came home. I wrapped up my Kris Kringle gift so it is ready to go postal, wrote out Christmas cards for the Nook Christmas card swap and did some cards for some family and friends too. Now I need to make a couple of more cards and I can get them all sent out too. My next task is to figure out what I need to purchase and for who so I can get all the shopping done.  I think I might go over to Shoppers tomorrow and see how many stocking stuffers I can get with my extra points.  I tried to get a Nintendo 3DS for the girls today, but they had already sold out. I knew I should have gone last night at midnight! Oh well, I decided it wasn't meant to be since they didn't have any left.

Two Days in a Row!!

Holy cow! Here I am posting again! I was at a volleyball tournament with my youngest dd all day today and her team won the bronze medal! The my oldest dd and I headed out after dinner to do some Christmas shopping and I think I bought more for myself than for gifts!  OOOPS! Anyway, got home and started on my Tim Tag! And now I am done! Here is my Tim Tag #2 for 2011.

I don't know if I will be able to continue to the pace, but I am going to try!

Tomorrow I am heading to the Scrapping Nook for their Holiday Crop, although I am just going for a quick visit and to pick up a few things. (hopefully it will be ONLY a FEW things!) They are having a fantastic sale if you feel like treating yourself to a little somethin'.  (http://www.thescrappingnook.ca/)

We are planning to put up the Christmas tree tomorrow also and maybe I'll get some more Christmas Shopping in. We'll see how that goes.

If you want directions for Tim's Tag, check out http://www.timholtz.typepad.com/ He really is an amazing and creative crafter! I was lucky enough to take a class of his last year and it was PHENOMENAL!!!

I'm a Bad Blogger

Can't believe how long it has been since I've blogged! I'm not sure why--but I just don't get on to do it! It's not for the lack of being on the net, because I am on LOTS--probably too much! Anyway, I figured I would see if I could even get back on here and post the first Tim Tag of the Season and I can't believe it that I got it done today!! WHOO HOO!!!
And here is a close up of the pine cones.
I didn't have the pine cone die so I cut out a scallop and then used some patterned scissors to cut a spiral in it and then rolled up up like Tim did using his die. I think it turned out pretty well!
